The 2009 CCLSC AGM will take place at The Calthorpe Arms in Grays Inn Road at 11am this Saturday 4th July. All welcome to attend. Ian Spriggs will be performing a solo salsa dancing demonstration at 12 as long as enough members turn up.

Forecasting Competition Result  Robin Ogleby

A good year for Reynolds family - even though they only joined the competition 5 games in. Too many optimistic Sky Blue fans came a cropper - particularly towards the end of the season when they were easily overtaken by the bitter and twisted George Ogleby (aged 14 3/4) who was praying for Robbie Simpson's last minute free kick at Portman Road to hit the crossbar so he could pick up the maximum 6 points on the last game and win the competition.

It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the death of Chris Gateley. Chris was one of the earliest members of CCLSC and a staunch Sky Blues supporter. He had been suffering from cancer.

Chris was Coventry-born but lived in the South-East before taking up a teaching post in Sheffield. He went on to become a schools inspector. He always attended City games in Yorkshire and Colin Heys caught up with him at Bramall Lane earlier in the season. He was married in November. We offer his wife our deepest sympathy. The funeral took place at Sacred Heart Church, Sheffield on Monday 11 May 2009. Colin sent a wreath on behalf of CCLSC.
