History of cclsc.co.uk
This is the 7th iteration of the CCLSC website. It has been completely rebuilt using MS Expression Web with a SQL database. Graphics were put together using Adobe PhotoShop CS2.
About the Author
Peter Reynolds works for US Outsourcing Company EDS managing a team of 35
Project and Programme Managers. He produced and maintains this website in his
spare time on a voluntary basis which equates to some 200 hours per year.
Generating funds for CCLSC - Amazon
Many of our members will have heard or perhaps even
purchased from Amazon.co.uk; the online book/music/games retailer. The good news is that by using Amazon via the CCLSC
website, a percentage of their sales is passed on to the club.
How it works
Upon clicking on the Amazon link from CCLSC, a special
code or 'tag' is sent to Amazon, telling them where the link came from. Should
the visitor proceed to purchase items from Amazon, then once dispatched, a
percentage of the final price or 'commission' is put into the CCLSC kitty. Once the kitty reaches £50 a payment is made to the
club. So, the next time you want to visit Amazon (remember
Christmas is coming !), remember to click through from CCLSC. It doesn't matter
if you already have an account with Amazon, so long as you click through from
this site. Also remember that you still save money - Amazon discount most
items and offer free P&P over a certain value - it won't cost you a penny more
to help the club in this way.
